As Old As My Tongue

The website is up! Just got this from Andy, the producer:

As Old As My Tongue is now live!
PLEASE LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE SITE.

After almost exactly 4 years in production, 6 filming shoots, tapes numbering more than Bi Kidude in years (and she claims to be over 120!) and a run of preview screenings,
we’re looking forward to the official WORLD PREMIERE SCREENING in Zanzibar on Friday.

The premiere will feature an introduction by poet Shailja Patel (doing Drum Rider, the poem I wrote about Bi Kidude when I first saw her perform last July) and a few words from Bi Kidude herself.
And for four days following the screening Stone Town will resound to the good vibrations of the Sauti za Busara festival.

Over the next few months we have screenings of the film in the UK, France, Spain, USA, Japan and Burkina Faso.
Hopefully there will be many more to come as the year unfolds.
We will also launch the DVD of the film later in the year.
