Northward bound

At the end of October, I'll be heading North again - to the Stockholm International Poetry Festival.

I've only ever been in Sweden in late spring and summer. Time to test my mettle against the cold :-). But now that I know what a magically beautiful city Stockholm is, I'm actually looking forward to seeing it as winter fairytale-land.

Shailja, afraid to make you dissapointed - Stockholm is probably not at all fairy-taley towards the end of October; more likely British drizzly and grey. But - it's got other advantages! Like the poetry festival.

Ohhh - I was imagining silver seas and ice-blue skies, glorious sunsets, last radiance of autumn colours....

But thanks for the warning - I'll pack a raincoat :-). And yes, the poetry will make up for it!
