Nice article in Nirali - but was rather shocked to see Nirali's advert banner "reach affluent south asian readers" -hmm.
Why does it shock you?
Because it is blatant, divisive/segregative, shallow and cliquish & vain -something I wouldn't want to be associated with, despite being an "affluent south asian" (relatively speaking). What do you think of the Nirali target audience?
I'd be happy to discuss this in more detail - because it touches on many intersections of art / activism / capitalism that I engage with in my work and daily life.
