sunrise thoughts

Are love poems still true after the relationship ends?

And why are there still green figs on our fig tree, stuck resolutely to the ends of the now-bare branches?

It really is none of my business, but did you receive the poem after the relationship ended, or is it one that still lingers (after) and seems to hold true at every passing of the moon?

Curiosity might kill the cat, but fortunately I’m a boar
